Co-owner of Anomaly, Kranky lives and breathes breakbeat. From old skool hardcore, jungle and drum n bass, through to nu skool breaks, jungle tekno and dubstep, expect nothing less than a flurry of the baddest broken beats, low frequencies, heavy basslines, samples & scratching.
Having played his first club set in 2006, Kranky now plays regular club gigs and events, championing the sounds of broken beat music, and more particularly the fledgling sound of J-Tek.
Over the last few years, Kranky has supported many international artists/producers and DJs, such as: LTJ Bukem & MC Conrad (UK), DJ Hype (UK), Xample (UK), Concord Dawn (NZ), Benga (UK), Skream (UK), State of Mind (NZ), A-Sides (UK), Gravious (UK), Flippo (AU), Nick Sentience (UK), Nikki S (UK), Simon Qudos (UK), Dave Forbes (UK), Mallorca Lee (UK), Scott Brown (UK), Kevin Energy (UK), Erik Orpheus (UK), Sharkey (UK), Arkitech (UK), Ephexis (UK), DJ Irish (Sweden), Tara Reynolds (UK), High Dosage (NZ), Operon (AU), Jody 6 (AU), and more.
Kranky is also responsible for the creation of krankydigital.com, an underground internet streaming dance radio station, which has gone on to become an institution within the local dance scene.
