Evil (aka Olie Bassweight) is best known as one of New Zealand’s leading Dubstep producers, and also responsible for the seminal New Zealand Dubstep label ‘Bassweight Recordings’. Since becoming one of the winners of the 2009 J-Tek Records remix competition, Evil has taken a keen interest in the development of the Jungle Tekno scene, and Anomaly is proud to present the release of his dark and moody tear-out Jungle Tekno slammer, ‘Swarm’.

ANM006-B: Vinyl Junkie & Requiem – Before Time

‘Before Time’ is a collaboration between and Old Skool legend ‘Vinyl Junkie’ and Anomaly veteran ‘Requiem’. Combining 4/4 kicks with rolling breakbeats, an infectious bassline, a catchy basement-style riff, hoovers and an epic atmospheric breakdown, ‘Before Time’ will take you back to where it all started – classic Jungle Tekno business for the new generation.

Anomaly ANM005 The Music's End EP: The End is Coming / Stop the Music

‘ANOMALY’ is excited to be able to present the release of their fifth EP – THE MUSIC’s END EP! This release sees the return of Kranky & Lethal, again bringing you two very contrasting Jungle Tekno tracks.

ANM005-A: Kranky & Lethal – The End is Coming

Kranky & Lethal’s much anticipated ‘The End is Coming’ is a dark, brooding and energetic monster which successfully fuses elements of Dubstep and Jungle Tekno together. Combining heavy kicks and snares, powerful breaks, nasty hoovers, a killer bassline, eerie effects, along with haunting vocals which prophesy the end of days, this track will send any dancefloor into a frenzy.

ANM005-B: Kranky & Lethal – Stop the Music

In contrast to ‘The End is Coming’, Kranky & Lethal once again show their versatility with ‘Stop the Music’ – a deep and heavy roller, pushing the boundaries of Jungle Tekno – a tribute to classic early-to-mid 90’s atmospheric jungle but with a modern edge. With tough breaks, a hypnotic and infectious bassline, smooth melodic pads, driving hoovers, a classic moog riff, and atmospheric sound effects, this track will captivate any audience.

Luna-C

The name Luna-C is synonymous with Old Skool, Breakbeat and Breakbeat Hardcore and is best known for his seminal hardcore label ‘Kniteforce Records‘ which kicked off in 1991.

Originally from the United Kingdom, but now residing in the USA, and having played all over the world, Luna-C has been pumping out breakbeat in all its various forms for almost twenty years.

Here at Anomaly we’re excited to hear that Kranky & Lethal’s ‘Unstoppable‘ has been featured in Luna-C’s Podcast #13 over on his Kniteforce Revolution website! Big ups to Chris for the support!

Anomaly ANM004: Across the Trax EP - Across the Trax / Retro Vibes

‘ANOMALY’ is excited to be able to present the release of their fourth EP – the ACROSS THE TRAX EP! This release sees the legendary DJ Pilgrim joining Anomaly’s ranks to bring you two fresh new heavyweight Jungle Tekno tracks.

ANM004-A: Pilgrim – Across the Trax

Pilgrim’s first track on Anomaly, ‘Across the Trax’ first kicks off with a cheeky introduction, paying homage to the sounds of the Old Skool. Anomaly ANM003: Speedball EP - Speedball / Fear Factor

‘ANOMALY’ is proud to present the release of their third EP – the SPEEDBALL EP! This instalment of Jungle Tekno madness includes two very contrasting tracks by Anomaly stalwarts “Lethal” and “Requiem”.

ANM003-A: Lethal – Speedball

Going from strength to strength with each release, Lethal’s latest track ‘Speedball’ is no exception, and is what can only be described as a sub-bass monster of epic proportions. Tango & Ratty's new J-Tek label

In a recent interview over at oldskoolreview.co.uk, Tango has confirmed that Kranky & Lethal will be remixing a tune for Tango & Ratty’s new J-Tek label ‘Steel Fingers’, and he will be remixing their tune ‘Reflection’ for Anomaly:

“Yeah, we’re doing a remix swap with Kranky & Lethal from Australia soon – they’re doing ‘Concrete Steps’ and I’m going to remix a track they’ve just released called ‘Reflection’. They’ve definitely got some production skills going on – ones to look out for I reckon…”
